Board
Before you buy a board, it’s important to find out what you riding style
is.
If you don’t know it, rent a board to find out which style you like.
Freestyle: This style focuses on jumps, rails, halfpipes
Freeride: Freeriders prefer the all mountain experience: open terrain, backcountry,
chutes, fresh powder, …
Alpine: This style focuses on racing and carving.
You also have to do some research. Read some reviews or rent a board.
You don't know if a board works for you if you haven't ridden it bye yourself.
Choosing a board is very personal. If you are a beginning rider you have no
idea about what a 'good' board feels like.
Don't choose your board on grafics. If you are still a beginner,
it's better to buy an allround board. So you can find out what you like the
most.
Freeriding, freestyle or alpine. If you have more experience you can buy a board
specially for freestyle, alpine, or freeriding.
You also have to consider how much you are snowboarding during the winter.
If you go snowboarding 3 times in a winter. Your board will be paid back really
soon
because you don’t have to rent a board.
If you don’t want to spend a lot of money you could look at some last
season boards.
They are much cheaper then the current season and they are still really good.
