Boots

A bad set of boots can be a real pain.
As a general rule, they should be a snug fit but you should also be able to wiggle your toes.
Wear thick socks when trying them on, have both feet measured and leave them on for at
least five minutes to check how comfortable they really are.
The boot is very important when it comes to the transmition of pressure from your legs on the board.
It helps to control the board.
It should also keep your feet warm and protect them from bruises.

The boot is a personal matter
U will have to wear them for hours so they really have to be comfi!!!

There are three types of boots:
- the rather unpopular hard boots, used for races on alpine boards or sometimes on powercarve boards
- the semi-soft boots with a step in system (SIS) which are mostly used for powercarving and for rental stuff because they are easy to use
- the regular soft boots used for freestyle and freeride (the common choice)

soft boots (burton)

Rigid or soft?
a regular, beginner or advanced rider will get a rather comfortable (softer) product
softness is a synonym for comfortable and tolerance

an expert, or high-performance rider could get a more rigid pair of boots because the
more stiff the boot, the more pressure transmition on the edges and the faster the ride.
Of course those boots are less forgiving and less comfortable
